Can I come in for a consultation?
This cake line was created with price in mind. In order to offer the lowest prices while maintaining our high standards we've eliminated the need for a consultation by setting up Simply Sweet cakes to be ordered completely online. Because the ordering process is so simple it makes it easy, quick, and stress free giving you back valuable time in the planning process, an added benefit! Of course we are always available to help with any questions you may have by email!

How do I check to see if my date is available?

How soon do I need to place my order?
To guarantee your spot on our schedule we recommend you put down your deposit and place your order as soon as you have confirmed we have availability for your date. Some dates do book well in advance though we accommodate shorter time frames whenever possible. Once the deposit is received and your order is placed we will send out your contract and total due (adjustments can be made up to 3 weeks out). 

What is required to reserve my date?
A $75 non-refundable deposit and cake order books your date and secures your spot on our schedule. Deposits are applied to the final balance.

Can we sample the cake?
We offer the option to pick up a tasting cake with your choice of cake and filling. Each cake ordered is $15 and serves 8-10. If the date is booked a $10 credit will be applied to your final balance.

Can I make changes to the designs (add color, have a different shape, etc)?
The Simply Sweet cakes can not be altered, however, if you prefer to have a custom designed cake

How many servings do I need?
You should have one serving of cake for each guest. Although every wedding is different, generally 70-75% of invited guests will attend. When placing your order make a realistic estimate, numbers will be confirmed 3 weeks prior to your wedding and can be adjusted at that time if needed.

How big will my cake be?
We have different options to choose from ranging from 2-4 tiers for your main cake. Size will depend on the number of guests attending your event and if you choose to supplement your main cake with sheet cake. You choose what works best!

Can I order a smaller centerpiece cake and supplement with sheet cake?
Of course! You decide which combination works best for your event!

Do you deliver?
Yes, we offer delivery in the Des Moines area for $40 and $65 to Ames. Please contact us for a price quote for all other areas.

Can I or someone I designate pick up my cake?
2 and 3 tier cakes can be picked up instead of being delivered. These cakes do travel well when normal precautions are taken while driving. Due to the size of 4 tier cakes they must be
delivered. We assume no liability for cakes once they have left our premises.

How many flavors can I choose?
You can choose one flavor combination (cake and filling) for your main cake. Each sheet cake  ordered can be a different cake flavor (Simply Sweet sheet cakes are not filled).

Is filling included?
Filling is included in all centerpiece cakes at no additional charge.

Is there a minimum order required?
No. We only require that all cake needed for your event (main and any needed
sheets) be provided by Sweetest Perfections.

When is the final payment due?
We review and finalize details with you 3 weeks out and give you a final
balance due. Final payment is due 2 weeks prior to your event.
